Sites on the web offer convenient tools for working with a sequence of bytes in the hexadecimal notation (the so-called HEX-code) HEX files are used by a number of programs. They can be saved in text format, allowing you to open them with any text editing program. However, some HEX files are saved in binary format. In this case, a special program for editing hexadecimal files is required to open and view the contents of the files. The text string stored in the HEX file contains six fields. These strings consist of start codes, number of bytes, address, record type, data, and checksum.
